Drunk Spelling Bee
Begins Wednesday, June 5th. Regstration starts at 7pm, spelling starts at 8pm. $10 entry fee, includes warm up beer.
How it works:
You will register and get your # and your warm up beer.
At least half of your beer must be gone before spelling starts.
Rounds 1-3 you will have one minute to spell the word you are given.
Rounds 4 + you will have 30 seconds to spell the words. If you are mid-spell when time is up, you may finish.
There are no do-overs - you will be disqualified if you restart a spelling.
You MUST have a beer at all times. You MUST consume at least half per round (1 beer per 2 rounds). After 6 rounds, you can go to 1/4 beer per round.
There will be scheduled bathroom breaks.
NO ELECTRONICS OR HELP FROM THE AUDIENCE WILL BE ALLOWED. YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY AGAIN IF YOU CHEAT.
You are highly encouraged to bring a cheering section.
The first place winner will get their bee tab paid, a certificate of awesomeness, and free entry into the next week's bee so you can defend your title.
You can register in advance or you can register at The Spot at 7pm the night of the bee.
